African History
Why do African countries have straight line borders

The majority of African countries have straight-line borders due to the historical impact of European colonialism, especially during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, when European powers divided the African continent among themselves without regard for the indigenous ethnic, cultural, or geographic realities. This division was formalized during the Berlin Conference of 1884โ1885, where European leaders drew borders using geometric lines on maps, often based on latitude and longitude, prioritizing their political and economic interests over the social structures of the native populations. As a result, many borders were drawn arbitrarily, cutting across tribal lands, linguistic regions, and natural features like rivers and mountains. These artificial boundaries contributed to long-term challenges, including ethnic conflicts, civil wars, and governance issues in post-colonial African states. Even after independence in the mid-20th century, most countries retained these colonial borders to avoid disputes and wars over redrawing them.

And the fleur de lis is centuries older than the American slave trade and has been used for a lot of different things. No different than the American flag that was flown on slave ships that black people will say they are willing to fight to defend

It was actually white men lusting after black women and not wanting to proparely take them as wives. Many people believe it was what the whole slave trade ewas about. And its why many bad ideals are still held today. And the white women wants to bw abused because all they see is attention but they don't care what kind ans then they beg to be mistreat to even seem equal. They would kill the slaves child or beat her out of jealousy as the master would still rape the slave in the back house with his friends
Today people do the same things not realizing where they got it from. Its continued abuse. And today women are expected to be raped have a child be quiet like they were told to do back then

The fleur-de-lis is ancient, older than the French empire. Just as the Cross is older than Christianity and the Swatika is older than Nazism. These were symbols from remote antiquity that were adopted into different cultures over time and have taken on different meanings from their original ones as assigned by their adoptive culture. Are we to be offended by tattoos because prisoners were tattooed? Stop wearing cotton because of the plantations? Cut down all the Poplar trees because of the "strange fruit" that hung from them? Where does it end? We should not besmirch or dismiss these and other sacred symbols because some fools misused them. There is too much in the world that has had some tragedy associated with it. You have to find a new earth if you don't want to ever run into something that won't offend you.
